In 2009, the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California (USC) marked its 80th anniversary with the dedication of a new multibuilding complex. The $165 million facility is adjacent to the school's current location on the USC University Park Campus in Los Angeles.
In 2007, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) initiated the La Jolla Laboratory Replacement Project at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, a graduate school of the University of California, San Diego. Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the $102-million project will replace the existing Southwest Fisheries Science Center with a state-of-the-art building that will better support the oceanographic research efforts of NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service. To design this complex facility, NOAA selected a proven team of more than a dozen consultants working around the country.
